“Portofini is a truly local family run Italian/pizza restaurant. I personally love the rustic simple decor. It's an easy unpretentious environment to relax in, with unobtrusive inoffensive background music. The staff is always friendly. It's usually young women, and they're very nice. But the service is not super attentive. The food is is the star. I've been here several times and have had: (apps)chicken noodle soup, fried calamari, and bruschetta-all lovely. (entres)baked ziti, penne vodka, and penne a la Romano(served in a spicy meat sauce with a touch of cream and parmigiana cheese). The penne vodka was especially wonderful. Beer selection is basic and only bottles, but they have Yeungling, so I'm happy, and they serve it with a chilled glass. The last time I went I got lobster ravioli in vodka sauce(that night's special). All the food I've ordered there was cooked with skill and care, and was delicious. I didn't love the ravioli, but I'm very particular about that, and I'm rarely thrilled. I had to try theirs to see if it was the rare excellent variety. My ravioli came out room temp. When we told the waitress about it, she immediately took care of it and apologized. Not only did they heat up my meal to my satisfaction, they cooked me another complete dish of it to make up for my dissatisfaction. Now that's customer care!”

“We had children with us and waited an hour for our food. Other couples coming after us got there food sooner. I rate an Italian resturant by its veal parm. I thought it was tasteless. As a visitor to the area I was not impressed.”
